A disinfection service involves using chemicals or other agents to kill germs, bacteria, and viruses on surfaces. Disinfection involves the destruction of microorganisms, but not usually spores, on inanimate surfaces or objects. Disinfection is not sterilization. Sterilization describes a process that destroys or eliminates all forms of microbial life, including spores.
